The following leagues are available at the Westmount Golf and Country Club:
Monday Night Open League
The Monday Night “Open” League is extremely popular and is open to adult curlers of all skill levels. This is a team entry sign-up. Individual sign-ups are also encouraged and we will work to find you a team.
The league consists of 8 -12 teams, playing 3 -4 round robin draws (schedules). Prizes are awarded after each round robin.
This league also provides a chance for graduates of our Adult Learn to Curl program and other new curlers to learn the game with other experienced curlers.
Draw times:
- Session #1 - 7:30 pm
- Session #2-4 - 6:15 pm
Tuesday Afternoon Open League
This daytime league welcomes curlers of all skill levels, whether you are an experienced curler or brand new to curling.
Sign-up type: Individual; Open to all genders
The Curling Office makes up the teams. Teams change with each series. There are 3-4 series throughout the season. Prizes are awarded after each series.
This League provides an excellent opportunity for experienced curlers to improve their game, and for new curlers to learn.
Draw time: 12:15 pm. All games are 6 ends.
Tuesday Night Business Women's League
A women’s evening league suitable for adult curlers of all skill levels.
There are 3 series throughout the season and this is an individual entry event (individuals sign up for each series).
Teams will be made up by the skips/committee before each series. If you curl in all 3 series you will be on 3 different teams throughout the season.
This league is more relaxed in its competitiveness, but still encourages a competitive spirit. Curlers are guaranteed to have fun and meet many new friends. Prizes are awarded after each series.
Draw time: 6:00 pm. All games are 6 ends.
Tuesday Open Doubles League
Open Doubles Curling is made up of two players on a team (any gender combination).
Only six rocks per team are used each end, with one rock of each team pre-positioned either in the rings or outside the rings as a guard. The positioning of each stone depends on which team has the last rock of the end. If a team blanks an end they lose hammer instead of retaining hammer in the next end.

Wednesday Open Warm-up League
This league is available to members wanting to start off the season fine tuning their skills and warming up for regular league play. This league provides couples and individuals a chance to play with different members and it opens the curling ice doors for new members wanting to meet curlers and join teams.
Curlers will play 6 ends for 4 weeks before the Wednesday OPEN League begins. Prizes will be awarded after this series.
The Curling Department will put together the teams and seed the warm-up draw.
Draw time: 6:15 pm (& 8:00 pm if required). All games are 6 ends.
Wednesday Open - Choose Your Own League - Starts Nov 20
The Wednesday Night Open League (Formerly the Mixed League) is open to all curlers and teams. Any combination of curlers is permitted. Depending on the number of teams, divisions will be formed to ensure competitive games. 3-4 series will be played throughout the season. The first session starts November 20 (after the Warm-up League is finished). Team / Couples / Individual sign-up
Draw times: 6:15 pm and 8:00 pm. All games are 6 ends.
Thursday Morning Women's League
A daytime women's league that invites female curlers of all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to the sport.
The season is divided into three series, and participants sign up individually for each one. Teams are formed by the skips or committee before each series begins, ensuring that if you participate in all three series, you'll have the opportunity to play on three different teams throughout the season.
While the league emphasizes a less competitive atmosphere, it still supports a competitive spirit. It’s an excellent opportunity for experienced curlers to refine their skills, for newcomers to learn the game, and for everyone to enjoy themselves while making new friends. Prizes are awarded after each series.
Draw time: 9:30 am. All games are 6 ends.
Thursday Junior Practice & Play
Junior Practice and Play
An introduction to curling for all ages and skill levels. Each week begins with a lesson, followed by game play. As curlers work to improve their skills, they will have the opportunity to earn Ontario Skill Award badges. Coaches oversee the games, seizing teachable moments and fostering the spirit of the game.

Thursday Night Men's Competitive
The men’s competitive league plays down to determine the Club Champions in each respective division. This league is open to 24-28 teams with new teams welcome each year. Teams will play in a full season round robin division format. The A Flight winners will be crowned the Club Champion and will be eligible to represent the Westmount Golf & Country Club at the Club Champions Bonspiel the following curling season. All teams will compete in the playoffs.
- League play: Thursday Evenings: 6:20 pm & 8:30 pm (8 ends)
Friday Night Mixed Social League
This is one of our most popular leagues, open to curlers of all skill levels. In this fun and social league, teams sign up and play 6 ends. The season is divided into two series, with teams being shuffled for the second series. You can sign up individually or as a pair. A Friday Night Champion will be crowned at the end of the season, and prizes are awarded to the series champions.
Draw times: 6:15 pm and 8:15 pm. All games are 6 ends.
Women’s Club Championship
The Club Champion will be eligible to represent the Westmount Golf & Country Club at the Everest Club Champions Competition the following curling season.
Saturday Jitney Curling
New curlers would find this league a great opportunity to develop their skills, meet other curlers and have fun. This jitney league is open to all Westmount G & CC members who want to play in a fun, informal social league. Just drop in, teams will be selected and prizes awarded after the game and a "throw-off."
